RESOLUTION 10-240
APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE
PARKS,RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
STEERING COMMITTEE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,it has been determined tbat a connnittee is necessary in order to work with the
architectural finn contracted by the City of Waukee on the design of the Parks,Recreation and
Open Space Comprehensive Plan;AND,
WHEREAS,the Parks,Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee
(the "Committee")shall be established in order to fulfill this need;AND,
WHEREAS,tbe Committee shall remain in existence until such time as the Parks,Recreation
and Open Space Comprehensive Plan is completed and adopted by the City Council and/or a
simple majority oftbe Council determine that the Connnittee is no longer needed;AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor shall appoint the Connnittee members,which shall consist of no more
than twelve (12)members;AND,
WHEREAS,the Connnittee shall meet as necessary and shall comply with all provisions of
Code ofIowa Chapter 21,Official Meetings Open to Public (Open Meetings)and Chapter 22,
Examination of Public Records (Open Records);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 23"d day of August 2010 that it hereby approves the establishment of a committee to be
known as the Parks,Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan Steering mmittcc,
