RESOLUTION 10-268
APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE
WAUKEE AREA RECREATION TASK FORCE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORJTY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,it has been determined that a committee is necessary in order to improve
communication between and among the various sports-related groups,organizations and
businesses operating in and around Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Recreation Task Force (the "Committee")shall he estahlished in
order to fulfill this need;AND,
WHEREAS,the Committee shall remain in existence until such time as a simple majority of the
Council determine that the Committee is no longer needed;AND,
WHEREAS,the Mayor shall appoint the Committee members,which shall consist of no more
than fifteen (15)members;AND,
WHEREAS,the Committee shall meet as necessary and shall comply with all provisions of
Code ofIowa Chapter 21,Official Meetings Open to Public (Open Meetings)and Chapter 22,
Examination ofPuhlic Records (Open Records);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City ofWaukec,Iowa on
this the 4th day of October 2010 that it hereby approves the establishment of a committee to be
known as thc Waukee Area Recreation Task Force.
