RESOLUTION 10-273
APPROVING PROPOSAL FROM HR-ONESOURCE TO DEVELOP EMPLOYEE
HANDBOOK(S),REVISE JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND PREPARE A STAFFING PLAN
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,at the request of City staff,HR-OneSource has submitted a proposal to develop
employee handbook(s),re-write City job descriptions and prepare a staffmg plan;AND,
WHEREAS,as part ofthe proposal,HR-OneSource will prepare a handbook for those
employees represented by the collective bargaining agreement,and one for non-represented
employees,at a cost not to exceed $4,950.00;AND,
WHEREAS,HR-OneSource also proposes to update City job descriptions for adequacy,
relevancy and compliance with federal guidelines at a cost not to exceed $8,100.00;AND,
'VHEREAS,HR-OneSource additionally proposes to develop a City staffing plan for the next
five years,with an estimated total cost of $3,000.00;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff has reviewed the proposal and recommend approval.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa on
tills the 4th day of October 2010 that it hereby approves the proposal from HR-OneSource to
develop employee handbookis),revise job descriptions and prepare a staffin Ian .
