RESOLUTION 11-10
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE
MEMBERS FOR THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DES
MOINES AREA MPO TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE
YEAR 2011
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MFO)and the MFO Transportation Technical
Committee (MFO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has one primary representative and one alternate representative on
both the MFO and on the MFO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for tbe calendar year 2011,Mayor William F.Peard appoints himself as the primary
representative and Council Member Dan Dutcher,Council Member Mike Watts and City
Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra as the alternate representatives to the MFO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2011,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Director of
Development Services Brad Deets as the primary representative and both City Administrator/Clerk
Jeffrey L.Kooistra and City Planner Ben Landhauser as the alternate representatives to the MFO
TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this io"
day of January,2011,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan
Planning Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transp ation Technical
Committee .
