RESOLUTION 10-307
APPROVING AND ACCEPTING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES RESOURCE ENHANCEMENT AND PROTECTION FUND (REAP)
GRANT AGREEMENT RELATED TO THE RACCOON RIVER VALLEY TRAIL
REST AREA AND TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on August 9,2010,the Waukee City Council approved a resolution supporting a
Resource Enhancement and Protection (REAP)grant application for the Raccoon River
Valley Trail -Rest Area and Trail Head Improvements (Resolution #10-228);AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Natural Resources approved the City's REAP grant
application,referenced as REAP Grant #11-R4-XE,in the amount of$81,914.00;AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Natural Resources has provided a Grant Agreement
relative to this project,which the City Attorney has reviewed and found to be satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 6th day of December 2010 tbat it hereby approves and accepts an Iowa Department of
Natural Resources Resource Enhancement and Protection Fund (REAP)Grant Agreement
related to the Raccoon River Valley Trail Rest Area and Trail Improvements Proj ect.
