RESOLUTION 11-44
APPROVAL OF THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALNUT ST.FROM 5TH ST.
WEST TO 6TH ST.ON EACH TUESDAY FROM JUNE 4,2011 THROUGH JUNE 28,
2011 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00 P.M.AND 9:00 P.M.,AND THE USE OF
TRIANGLE PARK DURING SAME SAID DATES AND TIMES,FOR THE PURPOSE
OF WAUKEE AREA ARTS COUNCIL "TUESDAYS ON THE TRIANGLE"
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Arts Council will sponsor "Tuesdays on the Triangle,"to be held
in the Downtown Triangle Area each Tuesday from June 4,2011 through June 28,2011;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Arts Council has requested that Walnut St.be closed from S'h
Street west to 6th Street between the hours of6:00 p.m.and 9:00 p.m.for the event;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Park Board approved the use of Triangle Park during said dates and
times for these events;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21 st day of March 2011 that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut St.from 5th St.
west to 6th St.on each Tuesday from June 4,2011 through June 28,2011 between the hours of
6:00 p.m.and 9:00 p.m.,and the use of Triangle Park during same said dates and times,for the
purpose of Waukee Area Arts Council "Tuesdays on the Triangle."
