RESOLUTION 11-51
ADOPTING THE 2011 CITY OF WAUKEE COMPREHENSIVE
PARK,RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE PLAN
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,on November 16,2009,the Waukee City Council approved a contract with Genus
Landscape Architects to draft a City of Waukee Parks,Recreation and Open Space
Comprehensive Plan Design (Resolution #09-236);AND,
WHEREAS,on August 23,2010,the Waukee City Council established and approved
appointment to a Parks,Recreation and Open Space Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee in
order to work with Genus Landscape Architects on the comprehensive plan (Resolutions #10-
240,#10-241);AND,
WHEREAS,on APli14,2011,Genus Landscape Architects presented the Waukee City Couucil
with the final version of the comprehensive plan;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of Waukee,Iowa,in session
this 4th day of April,2011,does hereby adopt the 2011 City of Waukee Compr ensive Park,
Recreation and Open Space Plan.
