RESOLUTION 11-72
APPROVAL OF APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,650.00
FOR CITY OF WAUKEE 2011 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT FESTIVITIES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,2011 marks the tenth year during which the City of Waukee has participated in
National Night Out,a nationwide crime,drug and violence prevention program that provides
a unique opportunity fOT the City of Waukee to join forces with thousands of other
communities across the country in promoting cooperative,police-community crime
prevention efforts;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Police Department,in partnership with the Dallas County Sheriffs
Office,plans to celebrate Waukee's 10th anniversary of participation by hosting various
activities at Centennial Park;AND
WHEREAS,the Waukee Police Department requests funding in the amount of $4,650.00
toward 2011 National Night Out activities;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED on this,the 9th day of May,2011,that the City of
Waukee City Council hereby approves the appropriation of funds in the amount of $4,650.00
from the FY2012 Administration Promotions budget for City ofWaulcee 20 ational Night
Out festivities.
