RESOLUTION 11-79
APPROVAL OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE mSTORICAL RESOURCE
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FY12 FOR THE WAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY
LOCAL mSTORY PRESERVATION PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Waukee City staff have been working on a local history preservation project
related to Shuler Mining Camp documents and artifacts,along with other local history
memorabilia that has been donated to the Waukee Public Library;AND,
WHEREAS,Waukee City staff recommend applying for Historic Resource Development
Program FY12 grant funding in order to properly preserve,catalogue and make available to
the public for educational purposes the oral histories,artifacts and memorabilia of Waukee's
proud history.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 9th day of May,2011,that it hereby supports the grant application to the Historical
Resource Development Program FY12 for the Waukee Public Library Lees History
Preservation Project.
