RESOLUTION 11-71
SUPPORT FOR WAUKEE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE
PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Leadership Institute was founded in 2006 to assist working
professionals in and around Waukee to Leam,Grow and Lead;AND,
WHEREAS,the 2010-2011 Waukee Leadership Institute Class has completed a project for
directional signage to identify the Historic Triangle District;AND,
WHEREAS,the signs will be paid for with private donations and the City of Waukee will be
responsible for the installation and maintenance of the proposed directional signage;AND,
WHEREAS,City of Waukee will coordinate with the Iowa Department of Transportation for
the potential location of signs along U.S.Highway 6 (Hickman Road);
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
tins 9st day of May 2011 that the Waukee Leadership Institute's directional signage proposal
for the Historic Triangle is approved and the City Staff will work with the Waukee Leadership
Institute regarding installation of signs as proposed .
