RESOLUTION 11-96
APPROVING THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION
SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITIES REGIONAL PLANNING GRANT CONSORTIUM
AGREEMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is a member of the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning
Organization ("MFO");AND,
WHEREAS,the MFO was awarded a $2 million federal grant for a Snstainable Communities
Regional Plan;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is committed to providing assistance to the plauning project in the
form of staff time dedicated to data collection,community outreach efforts,meeting participation,
document review and general multi-disciplinary plauning work related to the plan over a period of
three (3)years,which is the anticipated time frame for the plauning project;AND,
WHEREAS,a consortium agreement is proposed to define the goals and partnerships of the plan,as
well as the responsibilities for the varions municipalities and entities included within the consortium;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa on this
6th day of June,2011 that the Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization Sustainable
Communities Regional Planning Grant Consortium Agreement is approved.
