A RESOLUTION INSTITUTING A TEMPORARY MORITORIUM ON THE
COLLECTION OF CONNECTION FEES UNDER CHAPTER 224W OF THE WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE PENDING FURTHER STUDY
WHEREAS,the City has explored other funding sources available to cover a portion of
the costs incurred to increase water tower capacity in the City to accommodate further
development pending further study;and
WHEREAS,a moratorium on the collection of this connection fee will allow the city to
adequately explore methods of reducing costs in the long term,
BE IT THEREFORE resolved by the City Council of the City of Waukee that a
moratorium shall be instituted on the collection of connection fees arising under 224W of the
Waukee Municipal Code commencing July 1,2011,which shall continue until further resolution
of the City Council of the City of Waukee.
Passed by the Council the 20th day ofJune 2011,and approved this 20th day ofJune 2011.
