RESOLUTION 11-103
AWARDING THE CONTRACT TO BLACKTOP SERVICE CO.OF HUMBOLDT,IA
FOR THE 2011 STREET SEAL COAT PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
.WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Public Works Department solicited and received quotes for the 2011
Street Seal Coat Project,the scope of which includes the application of a double seal coat along
University Avenue leading up to the new Waukee Public Works Facility and portions of Locust
Street,Cherry Street,io"Street,Kaylin Drive,Denlee Drive,8th Street,9th Street,Maple Street
and 5th Street;AND,
WHEREAS,the Public Works Department recommends awarding the contract to low bidder
Blacktop Service Co.of Humboldt,Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,Blacktop Service Co.has performed this service for the city in previous years and
the City Staff have had no issues with their work.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee this 20th
day of June,2011,that the contract for the 2011 Street Seal Coat Proj ect is hereby awarded to
Blacktop Service Co.of Humboldt,Iowa.
