RESOLUTION 11-122
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLIVE,IOWA AND
THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,REGARDING WATER SERVICE TO
RESIDENCE LOCATED AT 1700 NW 142ND STREET IN CLIVE,IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee ("Waukee")shares a common boundary with the City of
Clive,Iowa,a municipal corporation ("Clive");AND,
WHEREAS,Edwin and Angela Wilson ("Property Owner")owns the improved real property
located at 1700 NW 14Znd Street which is located within the boundaries of Clive,but which
property is adjacent to Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,an existing water main for Waukee is located on the same side of NW 14Znd
Street as is the existing single family residence on the property while the closest water main
for Clive is located on the opposite side ofNW 14Znd Street from the residence;AND,
WHEREAS,Property Owner has requested that such single family home be permitted to
connect to the existing Waukee water main rather than the Clive water main;AND,
WHEREAS,both Clive and Waukee have agreed that the Property Owner shall be permitted
to connect to the Waukee water main subject to an agreement between Waukee and Clive
regarding terms of the connection and payment for water consumed.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
that the Agreement Regarding Water Service to Residence located at 1700 NW 14Znd Street in
Clive,Iowa is hereby approved and accepted by the City of Waukee,and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized to file such agreement with the Dallas County,Iowa Recorder.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved tins the II th day of
July,zon.
