RESOLUTION 11-129
APPROVING ENTERING INTO A 28E AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
WAUKEE,IOWA AND DALLAS COUNTY,IOWA PERTAINING TO THE UTE
AVENUE (AlKlA R-22)JOHNSON CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has been informed by the Iowa Department of Transportation
of an offer of City Bridge Funding;FHWA 131140,pertaining to the Ute Avenue (allcla R-22)
Jolmson Creek Bridge replacement,which is located within and under the jurisdiction of both tbe
City of Waukee and Dallas County,Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee City Council and Dallas County Board of Supervisors desire to
undertake the bridge replacement jointly in light of the available funding;AND,
WHEREAS,the purpose of the proposed 28E agreement is to set forth the obligations and
responsibilities of the City of Waukee and Dallas County in connection with the Ute Avenue
(a/k/a R-22)Johnson Creek Bridge removal and replacement;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves the 28E agreement between the City of Waukee,Iowa and Dallas
County,Iowa pertaining to the Ute Avenue (a/k/a R-22)Johnson Creek Bridge Replacement
Project.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 11Ih day ofJuly 2011.
