RESOLUTION 11-130
ACCEPTING OFFER OF CITY BRIDGE FUNDING FROM THE IOWA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION RELATED TO THE UTE AVENUE (AlKJA
R-22)JOHNSON CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Jolmson Creek Bridge,located south ofInterstate 80 on Ute Avenue (a/k/a R-
22)has deteriorated to the point of replacement;AND,
WHEREAS,the current estimated total project cost is $605,000.00;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee requested that the bridge replacement project be considered for
80120 percent funding through the Iowa Department of Transportation;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has been informed by the Iowa Department of Transportation
of an offer of City Bridge Funding;FHWA 131140;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby accepts the Offer of City Bridge Funding from the Iowa Department of
Transportation related to the Ute Avenue (a/k/a R-22)Johnson Creek Bridge Replacement
Project.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 11th day ofJuly 2011.
