RESOLUTION 11-133
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PAINTED WOODS DRIVE BETWEEN
355 PAINTED WOODS DRIVE AND 380 PAINTED WOODS DRIVE ON SATURDAY,
AUGUST 27,2011,WITH AN ALTERNATE DATE OF SUNDAY,AUGUST 28,2011,
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 2:00 P.M.AND 11:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Deanna Curtis of 390 Painted Woods Drive requests the temporary closing of Painted
Woods Drive between 355 Painted Woods Drive and 380 Painted Woods Drive on Saturday,August
27,2011,with an alternate date of Sunday,August 28,2011,between the hours of2:00 p.m.and 11:00
p.m.for the purpose of a neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.l2(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 25th
day of July,2011,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Painted Woods Drive between 355
Painted Woods Drive and 380 Painted Woods Drive on Saturday,August 27,2011,with an alternate
date of Sunday,August 28,2011,between the hours of 2:00 p.m.and 11 :00 p.m.for the purpose of a
neighborhood block party.
