RESOLUTION 11-156
APPROVING IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AGREEMENT FOR
BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION FUNDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND THE
IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Johnson Creek Bridge,located south of Interstate 80 on Ute Avenue (a1k/a R-
22)has deteriorated to the point of replacement;AND,
WHEREAS,the current estimated total project cost is $605,000.00;AND,
WHEREAS,on July 11,2011,the Waukee City Council approved the acceptance of an Offer of
City Bridge Funding from the Iowa Department of Transportation related to the Ute Avenue
(alk/a R-22)Jolmson Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Resolution #11-130);AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Transportation has since provided an Agreement for City
Bridge Construction Funding (Agreement No.4I2-SBRM-5),which has been reviewed by both
the City Attorney and Project Engineer;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves the Iowa Department of Transportation Agreement for Bridge
Construction Funding between the City of Waukee and the Iowa Department of Transportation.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the nnd day of August
2011.
