RESOLUTION 11-153
APPROVING THE CLOSING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF STREETS FOR THE
WAUKEE FEST PARADE,WITH SAID STREET CLOSINGS BEGINNING AT 10:00
A.M.ON SATURDAY,AUGUST 27,2011,WITH THE PARADE ROUTE RUNNING
FROM WAUKEE MIDDLE SCHOOL (905 WARRIOR LANE)NORTH ON WARRIOR
LANE TO NORTHVIEW DRIVE;WEST ON NORTHVIEW DRIVE TO FOURTH
STREET;NORTH ON FOURTH STREET TO ASHWORTH DRIVE;AND WEST ON
ASHWORTH DRIVE TO FIFTH STREET WHERE THE P ARADE PARTICIPANTS
WILL DISBURSE TO THE NORTH ON FIFTH STREET
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORlTYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee will host Waukee Fest on Saturday,August 28,2010 in the
Downtown Triangle area;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fest parade is planned to follow a certain route on public streets;
AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session tins
22nd day of August,2011,that it hereby approves the closing of certain portions of streets for the
Waukee Fest Parade,with said street closings beginning at 10:00 a.m,on Saturday,August 27,
2011,with the parade route running from Waukee Middle School (905 Warrior Lane)north on
Warrior Lane to Northview Drive;west on Northview Drive to Fourth Street;north on Fourth
Street to Ashworth Drive;and west on Ashworth Drive to Fifth Street where the parade
participants will disburse to the north on Fifth Street.
