RESOLUTION 11-196
APPROVING A CONSULTING ENGINEERING CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF WAUKEE AND CALHOUN-BURNS AND ASSOCIATES RELATED TO THE
JOHNSON CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,on July 11,2011,the City of Waukee City Council approved a 28E agreement
between the City of Waukee,Iowa and Dallas County,Iowa pertaining to the Ute Avenue (a/k/a
R-22)Johnson Creek Bridge Replacement Project;AND,
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the City Council to approve a formal agreement between the
City of Waukee and bridge consultants Calhoun-Bums and Associates,Inc.,for proj ect
administration and coordination,preliminary design,hydraulics analysis,final design,and bid
and construction phase services;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposed contract has been reviewed and approved by the City of Waukee City
Attorney,Dallas County Engineer and Iowa Department of Transportation;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves a Consulting Engineering Contract between the City of Waukee and
Calhoun-Bums and Associates related to the Johnson Creek Bridge Replacement Project.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the io"day of October,
2011.
