RESOLUTION 11-202
APPROVAL OF THE DOWNTOWN DESIGN GUIDELINES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas COlUIty,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on May 4,2009,the Waukee City Council approved a Downtown Master Plan
(Resolution #09-113)as recommended by the 2008 Waukee Comprehensive Plan to further
expand the priuciples and concepts of the Comprehensive Plan (Resolution #08-200);AND,
WHEREAS,the implementation chapter of the approved Downtown Master Plan identified
the creation of design guidelines as the top short term priority for the City to complete;AND,
WHEREAS,on September 27,2011,the Planning aud Zoning Commission recommended to
the City Council that the Downtown Design Guidelines be approved;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 24th day of October 2011 that the Downtown Design Guidelines be approved and serve
as an amendment to the 2009 Waukee Downtown Master Plan.
