RESOLUTION 11-200
APPROVING THE CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 5TH STREET TO 6TH
STREET BEGINNING 4:00 P.M.AND ENDING 8:00 P.M.ON FRIDAY,DECEMBER 2,
2011,FOR THE PURPOSE OF WAUKEE WINTERFEST
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee will host Waukee Winterfest on Friday,December 2,2011,in
the Downtown Triangle area;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff recommend that Walnut Street from sth Street to 6th Street be temporarily
closed from 4:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m.on said date for Wmterfest;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session tills
24th day of October,2011,that it hereby approves tile closing of Walnut Street from sth Street to
6th Street beginning 4:00 p.m,and ending 8:00 p.m.on Friday,December 2,2011,for tile
purpose of Waukee Winterfest.
