RESOLUTION 11-206
APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE ALICE'S ROAD/105TH STREET INTERCHANGE
JUSTIFICATION REPORT TO THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND
FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Cities of Waukee and West Des Moines are actively pursuing the construction of an
interchange at the intersection of 10Sth Street/Alice's Road and Interstate 80 (1-80);AND,
WHEREAS,on September 26,2011,the City of Waukee entered into an Agreement for Engineering
Services with Kirkham Michael for services related to the Alice's Road Interchange DR,[mal
interchange design and environmental analysis (Resolution #11-186);AND,
WHEREAS,Kirkham Michael has completed the IJR and is prepared to submit the IJR to the Iowa
Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration as required.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that Kirkham
Michael is directed to submit the Alice's Road/lOSth Street Interchange Justification Report to the Iowa
Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration as required.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 7th day of November 2011.
