RESOLUTION 11-210
APPROVAL OF AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AGREEMENT FOR A REVITALIZE IOWA'S SOUND ECONOMY (RISE)
PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on January 31 st,2001,the City Council of the City of Waukee directed staff
to file a formal application for Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)Program funds
in support of infrastructure improvements to encourage economic development along
Alice's Road located between University Avenue and Ashworth Road in Waukee
(Resolution #11-20);AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Trans portat ion awarded funds related to the RISE
grant application at their Commission Meeting on October 11,2011 in the amount of
$5,292,428.00 or up to 50%of the total cost,whichever is less;AND,
WHEREAS,an agreement related to approval ofthe RISE grant application has been
submitted to the City by the Iowa Department of Transportation and has been reviewed
by the City Attomey;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7th day of November 2011 that it hereby approves an Iowa Department of
Transportation Agreement for a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE Project.
