RESOLUTION 11-220
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF ONE (1)ADDITIONAL PRIMARY
MEMBER OF THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND ONE (1)ADDITIONAL PRIMARY MEMBER FOR THE
DES MOINES AREA MPO TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR
THE REMAINDER OF YEAR 2011
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Technical
Committee (MFO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,due to a revised official population based on the 2010 Census,the City of Waukee is
entitled to one (1)additional primary representative on both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the remainder of calendar year 2011,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Council
Member Dan Dutcher as an additional primary representative to the MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the remainder of calendar year 2011,Mayor William F.Peard appoints City
Administrator/Clerk Jeffrey L.Kooistra as an additional primary representative to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 21 st
day of November,2011,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan
Planning Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Tr rsportation Technical
Committee.
