RESOLUTION 11-243
ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT WORK UNDERTAKEN UNDER THE
2011 SInEW ALK IMPROVEMETN PROGRAM -PHASE I AND ORDERING
PAYMENT AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT TO BE ASSESSED AGAINST
PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee moved forward with the assessment proceedings in connection
with the 2011 Sidewalk Improvement Program -Phase I;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee received Petition and Waivers from property owners requesting
the City install sidewalk and assess said costs;AND,
WHEREAS,the engineering inspector has filed a certificate of completion after having inspected
the work,indicating the work has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications,
including $26,352.40 for the sidewalk installation plus $1,155.00 for inspections,administrative
and legal fees for a total cost of the completed work totaling $26,815.80.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19th day of December 2011 that it hereby accepts the work completed under the 2011 Sidewalk
Improvement Program -Phase 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment is hereby authorized to the contractor,AJ
Erdman,Enterprises,LLC in accordance with the terms of the contracts with the contractors for
the construction ofthe public improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total costs to be assessed against the properties in the
assessment district shall be $26,815.80,assessed 100%against the properties in the assessment
district.
