RESOLUTION 12-13
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE
MEMBERS OF THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DES
MOINES AREA MPO TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE
YEAR 2012
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Technical
Committee (MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two alternate representatives
on both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2012,Mayor William F.Peard appoints himself and Council
Member Dan Dutcher as primary representatives;and Council Member Casey L.Harvey and City
Administrator/Clerk J cffrcy L.Kooistra as alternate representatives to the MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2012,Mayor William F.Peard appoints City Administrator/clerk
Jeffrey L.Kooistra and Director of Development Services Brad Deets as primary representatives;
and Director of Public WOTksJolm Gibson and City Planner Ben Landbauser as altemate
representatives to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council ill session this 9th
day of January,2012,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan
Planning Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Tec1mical
Committee.
