RESOLUTION 12-39
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH BRICK GENTRY LAW REGARDING THE
PROVISION OF GOVERNMENT RELATION SERVICES
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly orgauized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,Brick Gentry Law has submitted au agreement for the provision of govermnent
relation services,attached hereto as Exhibit A;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council has reviewed the agreement and finds it satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
27th day of February,2012,that the agreement with Brick Gentry Law regarding the provision of
govermnent relation services is hereby approved.

Dear Jeff:
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to provide services to the City of Waukee ("Waukee")
with this agreement for the provision of government relation services.This agreement is for
the time period March 1,2012 through September 30,2012.
The initial year activities would consist of the following:
1)Provide education,background,policy advice,and advocacy to legislative and executive
branch officials regarding Waukee policy positions and priorities;
2)Assist in the monitoring of all legislation impacting the Waukee's interests in the Iowa
Legislature;
3)Daily representation at the Iowa Capitol on behalf of the Waukee during all legislative
sessions and relevant interim committee meetings;
4)Providing regular status reports of bills and amendments to Waukee at the direction of,
and in collaboration with,Waukee;
5)Participation in all legislative strategy meetings at the direction of the Waukee;
The initial year cost for the activities would be $15,000 for fees,plus expenses.
Fees will be paid for services as follows:
March 1,2012
through Sept'2012 $2142.86 per month
Fees will be invoiced by the 25th of each month following the services being rendered
commencing with the March Statement.
