RESOLUTION 12-55
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE PRELIMINARY PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
ESTIMATED TOTAL COST OF WORK,AND A PLAT AND SCHEDULE FOR THE
2011 PHASE II SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee arranged for engineering services to prepare the plats,schedules,
estimates of cost,plans and specifications of the public improvement projects undertaken in
accordance with the 2011 Phase II sidewalk improvement program;AND
WHEREAS,Veenstra and Kimrn,Inc.,has submitted preliminary plans and specifications,estimated
total cost of the work,and a plat and schedule and filed the same with the Clerk;AND
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee has no reason to amend the documents filed by
the engineer in accordance with Iowa law and determines that the same should be acknowledged as
filed with City Clerk.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Waukee hereby accepts the
preliminary plans and specifications,estimated total costs of the work and plat as filed.The City
Council determines to proceed with the public improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby causes a proposed resolution of
necessity to be prepared and introduced in accordance with Section 384.49 Code of Iowa for
consideration of the City Council after public hearing as required by law.Public hearing has been set
for April 2,2012 at 5:30 pm at City Hall.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 19th day of March,
2012.
