RESOLUTION 12-73
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE,lOW A,AND
BRAVO GREATER DES MOINES,INC.,PURSUANT TO PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 28E,CODE OF IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,Bravo Greater Des Moines is a not-for-profit corporation organized for the purpose
of assisting the cultural community of Polk County and contiguous counties by increasing
cultural awareness,advocacy,and funding,as well as fostering collaboration among cultural
organizations;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has a goal for the unification and coordination of monies for
the use and benefit of the cultural community,specifically cultural organizations eligible for
funding by Bravo,and is committed to the reasonable stewardship of monies for arts and cultural
purposes;AND,
WHEREAS,Bravo Greater Des Moines and the City of Waukee desire to work collaboratively
pursuant to the provisions of Iowa Code Chapter 28E,the agreement for which is attached to this
resolution as Exhibit A and made a part hereof;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council that the City of
Waukee hereby approves an Agreement Between the City ofWauIcee,Iowa,and Bravo Greater
Des Moines,Inc.,pursuant to provisions of Chapter 28E,Code of Iowa.
Passed by the City Council of the City ofWauIcee,Iowa,and approved the 2nd day of April,
2012.
