RESOLUTION 12-78
APPROVING RENEWAL OF LEASE -BUSINESS PROPERTY BETWEEN THE CITY OF
WAUKEE,IOWA AND WAUKEE POST 737,THE AMERICAN LEGION,DEPARTMENT
OF IOWA,INC.(410 6TH STREET)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City owns the property locally known as 410 6th St,Waukee,Iowa which the City
formerly offered for use as the Waukee Community Center;AND
WHEREAS,on April 6,2009,the City Council held public hearing and approved a Lease -Business
Property between the City of Waukee and the Waukee Post 737,the American Legion,Department of
Iowa,Inc.(the "Tenant")(Resolution #09-69);AND
WHEREAS,written notice from the Tenant was received on December 28,2011,within the 120-day
notice provision within the lease.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the Lease -
Business Property between the City of Waukee,Iowa and Waukee Post 737,the American Legion,
Department of Iowa,Inc.,shall be renewed for a term which shall commence on the 1st day of May,
2012,and ending at midnight on the 30th day of April,2013.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 2nd day of April,2012.
