RESOLUTION 12-72
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR CODIFICATION SERVICES BETWEEN IOWA
CODIFICATION,INC.,AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on September 11,2006,the Waukee City Council approved a Professional
Services Contract with Sterling Codifiers,Inc.,of Coeur D'Alene,ill,in order to organize,
classify,analyze,edit and proofread the Waukee Municipal Code currently in full force and
effect (Resolution #06-184);AND,
WHEREAS,Waukee City staff and the City Attorney conclude that Sterling Codification has
not been responsive to the needs of Waukee and as such have notified Sterling Codification of
the City's intent to terminate the contract;AND,
WHEREAS,at the request of Waukee City staff,Iowa Codification,Inc.,of Clear Lake,Iowa,
has submitted an Agreement for Codification Services,with a price based on using the existing
draft code as prepared by Sterling Codifiers;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attorney has reviewed the agreement and finds it to be satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of April,2012,that it hereby approves the Agreement for Codification Services between
Iowa Codification,Inc.,and the City of Waukee,Iowa.
