RESOLUTION 12-111
RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH CHECK AUTHORIZATION PROCEDURES AND
SIGNATORIES FOR THE CITY ACCOUNTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH GENERALLY
ACCEPTED ACCOUNTING STANDARDS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City Administrator/Clerk of the City of Waukee has submitted his resignation
effective May 7,2012;AND,
WHEREAS,Denman &Company advise that accepted accounting standards dictate that the
City assure appropriate checks and balances are in place and that it is appropriate under the
circumstances for the City to provide for different check authorization procedures to assure that
checks and balances exist relative to City funds in light of the City Administrator/Clerk's
resignation;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that BradlyM.
Deets,Interim City Administrator,be authorized to execute checks on behalf of the City of
Waukee with Rebecca Schuett,Deputy City Clerk,jointly,in lieu of the current City
Administrator/Clerk,and that Linda Burkhart,Director of Finance,continue as alternate
signatory until a permanent City Administrator has been selected and hislher employment
commenced,effective on the 7'h day of May,2012.
