RESOLUTION 12-123
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE
DALLAS COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT COMMISSION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipalitywitllln Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,Iowa Senate File 413,which goes into effect July 1,2012,requires that the
mayor or a designee that is an elected official shall be the only persons who can
participate in county emergency management commission budgetary matters;AND,
WHEREAS,a non-elected official can conduct business with the county emergency
management commission on all non-budgetary matters;AND,
WHEREAS,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Council Member Mike Watts as the
representative for budgetary matters and Fire Chief Clint Robinson as the representative
for non-budgetary matters to the Dallas County Emergency Management Commission,
with terms in effect until such time as reappointment becomes necessary.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 21 s day of May,2012,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to
the Dallas County Emergency Management Commission.
