RESOLUTION 12-114
APPROVAL OF THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE INTERSECTION OF
MAPLE STREET AND 8TH STREET ON SATURDAY,JUNE 2,2012,FROM 6:30 A.M.
TO 12:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A CONTROLLED BURN BY THE WAUKEE
FIRE DEPARTMENT OF AN UNOCCUPIED RESIDENCE ADDRESSED AS
780 MAPLE STREET,WITH AN ALTERNATE EVENT DATE OF SATURDAY,JUNE
30,2012
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Department intends to conduct a controlled burn of an unoccupied
residence addressed as 780 Maple Street,Waukee,Iowa,at the request of the property owner;
AND,
WHEREAS,in order to access fire hydrants and protect surrounding property and the general
public,it is necessary to temporarily close the intersection of Maple Street and 8th Street during
the controlled bum ofthe property;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa §364.l2(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOL YED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21 st day of May,2012,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of the intersection of Maple
Street and 8th Street on Saturday,June 2,2012,from 6:30 a.m.to 12:00 p.m.for the purpose of a
controlled bum by the Waukee Fire Department of an unoccupied residence addressed as 780
Maple Street,with an alternate controlled bum date of Saturday,June 30,201 .
