RESOLUTION 12-146
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF LIMITED
PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES BETWEEN GE WATTIER
ARCHITECTURE,INC.,AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,RELATED TO
THE ORI ADDITION,WAUKEE PUBLIC LIBRARY,PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on January 9,2012,the Waukee City Council approved a Gift Agreement
related to a bequest to the Waukee Public Library from the Estate of Hiram Ori
(Resolution #12-17);AND,
WHEREAS,the terms of the Gift Agreement include the establishment of a committee
to explore the construction of an addition to the Waukee Public Library to honor the
parents of Hiram Ori and Waukee's mining community history;AND,
WHEREAS,the exploratory committee sent out a Request for Proposals for Professional
Services related to architectural and design services related to the proposed Waukee
Public Library addition;AND,
WHEREAS,after interviews with the responding architectural firms and after careful
consideration,the committee recommends Ge Wattier Architecture,Inc.,as the
architectural consultant for the Ori Addition,Waukee Public Library,Proj ect.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 18th day of June,2012,that it hereby approves an Agreement for the
Provision of Limited Professional Architectural Services between Ge Wattier
Architecture,Inc.,and the City of Waukee,Iowa,related to the Ori Addition,Waukee
Public Library,Project.
