RESOLUTION 12-149
APPROVING AGREEMENT RELATED TO NUISANCE ABATEMENT AT 14675
UNIVERSITY AVENUE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the property located at 14675 University Avenue has been determined to be a
nuisance property and is in a state of condition where the property has been condenmed by the
City;AND,
WHEREAS,through Court action,the City has acquired ownership to the property ill order to
abate the nuisance;AND,
WHEREAS,city staff has sought quotes for removal of the asbestos within the property as well
as the demolition of the property ill order to abate the nuisauce and ready the property for sale;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of July,2012,that it hereby approves the agreements with Controlled Asbestos,Inc.aud
DeCarlo Demolition for the abatement of the nuisauce at 14675 University Avenue.
