RESOLUTION 12-148
APPROVING THE AMENDMENT TO THE 2008 WAUKEE COMPREHENSIVE
PLAN BY INCLUDING A NEIGHBORHOOD VILLAGE DESIGNATION AT THE
INTERSECTION OF R-22 (UTE AVENUE)AND INTERSTATE 80
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,has a Comprehensive
Plan in place to guide the City in its future development;AND,
WHEREAS,the current designation of the area located at the northeast comer ofthe
intersection ofR-22 (Ute Avenue)and Interstate 80 is designated as "rural residential";
AND,
WHEREAS,a "Neighborhood Village"designation as depicted on attached Exhibit A
would be consistent with a proposed rezoning request within that area and would provide
the necessary commercial uses to service the surrounding residential neighborhood,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa that the Amendment to the 2008 Waukee Comprehensive Plan is approved to reflect
the inclusion of a "Neighborhood Village"at the intersection ofR-22 (Ute Avenue)and
Interstate 80.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City ofWaulcee,Iowa,and approved the 2nd day ofJuly
2012.
