RESOLUTION 12-157
APPROVING FIREFIGHTER PAID ON-CALL PAY SCALE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Chief recommends the following pay scale for paid on-call
firefighters:
Overnight Down Time -Current Minimum Wage
All other Hours Base Pay $10.50 -effective July 1,2012
$11.00 -effective January 1,2013
Additional Per Hour Certification Rates (Cumulative):
Firefighter I $0.25
Firefighter II $0.50
Driver Operator $0.25
Aerial Operator $0.25
HazMat Operations $0.25
Instructor I $0.25
Instructor II $0.25
Officer I $0.25
Officer II $0.25
Additional Years of Service Per Hour Rates (Cumulative):
(To be adjusted annually on July 1.)
5-9 years
10-14 years
15-19 years
20-24 years
25+years

WHEREAS,the proposed pay scale shall be effective July 1,2012.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee on this,
the 2nd day of July,2012,that the firefighter paid on-call pay scale is approved.
