RESOLUTION 12-155
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SNYDER STREET BETWEEN AIDAN
STREET AND EMERSON LANE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 4:00 P.M.AND 11:00 P.M.ON
WEDNESDAY,JULY 4,2012,FOR THE PURPOSE OF A NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK
PARTY,PENDING FIRE,POLICE AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT APPROVAL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Shelly Hughes of 90 Aidan Street requests the temporary closing of Snyder Street
between Aidan Street and Emerson Lane between the hours of 4:00 p.m.and 11:00 p.m.on
Wednesday,July 4,2012,for the purpose of a neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.l2(2)(a),public ways and grounds maybe temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 2nd day
of July,2012,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Snyder Street between Aidan Street and
Emerson Lane between the hours of 4:00 p.m.and 11 :00 p.m.on Wednesday,July 4,2012,for the
purpose of a neighborhood block party,pending Fire,Police and Public Works Department approval.
