AWARDING QUOTE FOR THE 2011 SIDEWALK
IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM PHASE II
WHEREAS,pursuant to notice duly published in the manner and form prescribed
by resolution of this Council and as required by law,quotes were received by the City
Clerk of Waukee,Iowa and reported to this Council for the 2011 Sidewalk Improvements
Program Phase II;and
WHEREAS,all of the said quotes have been carefully considered,and it is
necessary and advisable that provision be made for the award of the contract for the 2011
Sidewalk Improvements Program Phase II;
WHEREAS,construction quotes were received by the City Clerk of Waukee,
Iowa and reported to this Council for the 2011 Sidewalk Improvements Program Phase II
(the "Project");and
WHEREAS,the quotes for the 2011 program were to address the installation of
either 4 and/or 6 inch PCC paving,including ramps with tnmcated domes and curb cuts
for new installations in 2011 Zone,as well as the repair/replacement of sidewalk panels,
including ramp panels with truncated domes,throughout the City as determined by the
Public Works Department;and
WHEREAS,all of the said quotes have been carefully considered,and it is
advisable that provision be made for the acceptance of the quote for the 2011 Sidewalk
Improvement Program Phase II.
NOW,THEREFORE,IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Waukee,Iowa,as follows:
Section 1.The quote for the 2011 Sidewalk Improvements Program Phase II
submitted by the following contractors is the lowest responsive,responsible quotation to
the plans and specifications for the Project,heretofore approved by the Council,and is in
the best interest of the City,such quote being as follows:

Section 2.The contracts for the 2011 Sidewalk Improvements Program Phase
II are hereby awarded to the contractors named in above,at the respective total estimated
costs set out above,subj ect to approval of the final contract documents by the City
Attorney,execution of the same by Contractors and submission of contractors
performance/payment bond.
Section 3.The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into
written contracts with said contractors for the Project,said contracts not to be binding
until approved by resolution of this Council.
Section 4.The amount of each contractor's performance and/or payment
bonds is hereby fixed and determined to be 100%of the amount of such contractor's
contract.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,
