RESOLUTION 12-214
ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT WORK UNDERTAKEN UNDER
THE 2011 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM PHASE II AND
ORDERING PAYMENT AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT TO BE
ASSESSED AGAINST PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City ofWankee moved forward with the assessment proceedings in
connection with the 2011 sidewalk program phase II;AND,
WHEREAS,the City ofWankee requested Veenstra and Kinnn,Inc.to provide
professional engineering services on the project;AND,
WHEREAS,the engineer has filed a certificate of completion after having inspected the
work,indicating the work has been completed in accordance with the contract,including
$30,114.06 for the sidewalk installation pins $8,169.25 for engineering and legal fees for
a total cost of the completed work totaling $38,283.31
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 1st day of October 2012 that it hereby accepts the work completed under the
2011 sidewalk program phase n.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment is hereby authorized to the contractor,AI
Erdman Enterprises &Dykstra Concrete in accordance with the terms of the contracts
with the contractors for the construction of the public improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total costs to be assessed against the properties
in the assessment district shall be $38,283.31,assessed 100%against the properties in the
assessment district.
