RESOLUTION 12-226
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SE WESTGATE DRIVE BETWEEN SE
LAUREL STREET AND SE WINDFIELD DRIVE ON SUNDAY,OCTOBER 21,2012,
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 1:30 P.M.AND 6:30 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
NEIGHBORHOOD BLOCK PARTY,PENDING FIRE DEPARTMENT AFPROV AL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,Bridgit Keller of 105 SE Westgate Drive requests the temporary closing of SE Westgate
Drive between SE Laurel Street and SE Windfield Drive on Sunday,October 21,2012,between the
hours of 1:30 p.m.and 6:30 p.m.for the purpose of a neighborhood block party;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to §364.12(2)(a),pnblic ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 15th
day of October,2012,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of SE Westgate Drive between SE
Laurel Street and SE Windfie1d Drive on Sunday,October 21,2012,between the hours of 1:30 p.m.
and 6:30 p.m,for the purpose of a neighborhood block party,pending Fire Department approval.
