RESOLUTION 12-282
APPROVAL OF THE ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN EXAMPLE BOOK
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on December 17,2012 the Waukee City Council approved revisions to Chapter
304 of the Waukee Municipal Code,the Site and Building Development Standards Ordinance
which establishes provisions for architectural design within the City of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,the Architectural Design Example Book is intended to illustrate examples of
architectural design indicative of the prescribed characteristics articulated in the Site and
Building Development Standards Ordinance and provides a basis for discussion and decision
making related to new construction,additions,alterations,or other improvements related to
buildings within the City of Waukee required to comply with the Site and Building
Development Standards Ordinance;AND,
WHEREAS,on November 13,2012,the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended to
the City Council that the Architectural Design Example Book be approved;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session
this 17th day of December 2012 that the Architectural Design Example Book be approved as
a supplement to Chapter 304 ofthe Waukee Municipal Code,Site and Building Development
Standards Ordinance.
