RESOLUTION 05-65
APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF VEENSTRA &KIMM,INC.
AS ENGINEERS FOR THE PRELIMINARY SCHEMATIC DESIGN
OF UNIVERSITY AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT FROM
ALICE'S ROAD TO L.A.GRANT PARKWAY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee is interested in paving University Avenue from 450 feet west
of L.A.Grant Parkway to Alice's Road;AND,
WHEREAS,the City is planning for the construction ofthe improvements in the future subject
to funding;AND,
WHEREAS,the City desires to retain Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.as Engineers to provide
1.engineering services on this proj ect to enable coordination with ongoing development
within the project corridor;and
2.limited plan drawings for purposes of development coordination at this time which can
be integrated into construction drawings at a future date;AND,.
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.have proposed to be compensated for its services on an
hourly basis and expenses with a not to exceed cost of $56,250;AND,
WHEREAS,Veenstra &Kimm,Inc.have listed Services not included in the above-stated fees,
which are to be found in the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that it does
hereby retain and employ the Engineers to act for and represent it in preliminary engineering
matters.
