THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
RESOLUTION 04-12
APPROVING LEASE EXTENSION FOR NANCY NEVINS,BROKER/OWNER OF
RE/MAX WEST REALTY,INC.AND APPROVING THE TIMELINE FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW RE/MAX BUILDING LOCATED IN THE VACANT LOT
IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF CITY HALL
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,due to the City's increased need for the space now rented by Ms.Nevins,
broker/owner ofRE/MAX West Realty,Inc.,the City requested that the owner find another
location;AND,
WHEREAS,Ms.Nevins has been unable to secure a building or office space in the right
location,price,and size to fulfill contractual obligations of the RE/MAX franchise agreement;
AND,
WHEREAS,Ms.Nevins has proposed an extension of her lease with the city in order to design
and eonstruet a suitable space on property directly south of the Professional Plaza;AND,
1.Pre-application meeting with City staff
2.Comments from City staff and Engineer
3.Final submittal date for 2/24 P &Z Commission
4.Site Plan presented to P &Z Commission
5.Site Plan approval by City Council
6.Obtain building permit
7.Start Construction
8.Certificate of Occupancy issued

September 20;AND,
WHEREAS,this time line is acceptable to Ms.Nevins,Mr.Greg Judas and to City staff.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5th day of.Tanuary 2004 that it hereby approves extending the current lease for the space
occupied by RE/MAX six months and approves the timeline for completion of the building
project for a new RE/MAX loeation as set out above.
