A Resolution Loaning Funds To The Waukee First Responders
For The Purchase of Equipment
WHEREAS,the apparent theft of Waukee First Responder Funds has depleted their fmancial
resources,
WHEREAS,the purchase of equipment prior to the awareness of the loss of funds has resulted
in the delivery of said equipment for which the First Responders have no means to pay,
WHEREAS,this equipment was intended to be donated the City of Waukee by the First
Responders,
WHEREAS,the City does not have the money budgeted for this piece of equipment,and has no
such funds budged in next year's budget,
WHEREAS,the City has created a Vehicle/Equipment Replacement Fund,for which reserves
are in hand,
NOW,THEREFORE be it resolved that the City of Waukee hereby loans the Waukee First
Responders $8,544.09 for the purchase of said equipment only,and that upon recovery of the
funds,or raising of additional funds,duly expect that said loan will be repaid in full with no
interest due,but that said loan shall be repaid no later then March 1,1999.
