RESOLUTION 13-051
APPROVING $10,000 IN FUNDING TO THE WAUKEE PUBLIC ART COMMITTEE
FOR THE RACCOON RIVER V ALLEY TRAILHEAD ART INSTALLATION,PHASE I
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Public Ali Committee is a community-based initiative to create a
significant public art installation to be located at the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead at the
intersection of Hickman Road/Highway 6 and lOth Street in Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Public Art Committee requests $10,000.00 from the City of Waukee to
help fund the Phase I design services for the project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 4th day of March,2013,that it hereby approves the appropriation of funds in the amount of
$10,000.00 from the FY2013 Administration Contingency budget for the Waukee Public Art
Committee's Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Art Installation,Phase 1.
