RESOLUTION 13-103
APPROVING APPOINTMENT TO FILL A VACANT COUNCIL SEAT
WITH A TERM TO EXPIRE DECEMBER 31,2013
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,at a special meeting on April 8,2013,the Waukee City Council accepted
the resignation of Dan Dutcher from his seat as a member of the City Council whose
regular term expires December 31,2013,with said resignation effective April 2,2013;
AND,
WHEREAS,by authorization of the Code of the State ofIowa,Section 372.13(2)(a),the
remaining members of the City Council may fill the vacancy by appointment within 40
days after the vacancy occurs;AND,
WHEREAS,a Notice ofthe City of Waukee City Council's intent to fill a vacant City
Council seat by appointment was published in the Dallas County News on May 2,2013,
in accordance with the provision of the Code of the State ofIowa,Section 372.13(2)(a).
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of May 2013 that it hereby appoints C.Isaiah McGee to fill a vacant
City Council seat with a term to expire December 31,2013.
