RESOLUTION 16-506
APPROVING THK INDEPENDENT AUDITOR'S FINAL REPORT
FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,2016
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UKEE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is an incorporated City within Dallas County,
Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Council of Waukee awarded a three-year contract extension for
audit services to Denman and Company,LLP on May 2,2016;AND,
WHEREAS,Denman and Company,LLP has audited the FY2016 books and finds them
to be substantially in compliance with state laws;AND,
WHEREAS,Denman and Company,LLP has prepared the FY2016 report to be in
compliance with the GASB reporting requirements;AND,
WHEREAS,City Responses to all recommendations in Part 1 —Findings Related to the
Financial Statements and Part 2 —Findings Related to Required Statutory Reporting were
accepted by the auditing firm,Denman and Company,LLP;AND,
WHEREAS,representatives of Denman and Company,LLP presented their findings to
the Mayor and Council at the November 21,2016 Council Meeting.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 21"day of November 2016 that it hereby approves the auditor's Financial
Report of General Purpose Financial Statements and Supplementary Information
Schedule of Findings FY2016.
